Kodiak ultra marathons
by UTMB®, october 10-12

This weekend marks the Kodiak Ultra Marathons – the American Major in the UTMB World Series. The mountain town of Big Bear Lake, California, welcomes trail runners with stunning scenery and lake views along the way.

Across two days of racing and five distances – from 10K to 100M – each course offers a unique challenge and experience.

At the Majors, runners can earn double the usual amount of Running Stones for the UTMB World Series Finals lottery. Top finishers in the 100M, 100K, and 50K will secure automatic qualification for the 2026 Finals in Chamonix. Plus, Kodiak serves as a qualifier for the legendary Western States Endurance Run. The stakes at Big Bear couldn’t be higher!
