The Action Control Neck: Your Perfect Feel, Every Time

For decades, Taylor guitars have set the standard for playability, thanks to our slim-profile necks and glueless assembly, making neck resets fast and easy.

Now, with our new Gold Label Collection, we’re excited to introduce the Action Control Neck—a groundbreaking system that makes it even easier to adjust your guitar’s action (string height) with precision. No need to detune or remove the neck—just a quick turn of a bolt.

Adjusting the Action Control Neck

Inside the Action Control Neck

Every guitar needs a neck adjustment at some point. On most guitars, that process can be tricky and time-consuming—requiring detuning, truss rod tweaks and often removing the neck.

With Taylor’s Action Control Neck, you can fine-tune your string height with a simple turn of an adjustment bolt in the neck block using a standard truss rod wrench. Whether you're adjusting for humidity, playing style or personal preference, your perfect feel is just a turn away.
