Every December when Mark Holgate writes his What Sold This Year piece I’m reminded of just how differently retailers look at fashion than editors. That’s because every December, thanks to the store owners he interviews, I’m introduced to a raft of new designers that I’ve barely heard of and others are completely new to me. This year I’m particularly intrigued by Song for the Mute, a recommendation from Nancy Pearlstein, owner of Washington D.C.’s Relish boutique, but there are many more fresh names in Mark’s story. Give it a read. |
