The New York Fashion Week calendar for spring 2026 is here, but the fashion action will get started early: It was announced yesterday that Sofia Coppola’s documentary about Marc Jacobs, Marc by Sofia, will premiere at the Venice Film Festival, which runs from August 27 to September 6. Coppola has been prepping for this moment since at least 1994, when she staged a “guerrilla style” fashion show for Kim Gordon and Daisy von Furth’s X-Girl label down the street from Jacobs’s venue. The NYFW headlines? A comeback for Alexander Wang and first-time shows for L’Enchanteur’s Dynasty and Soull Ogun, Zane Li of Lii, and Diotima’s Rachel Scott. |
