In one of my earliest emails, I talked about the myth of chasing happiness and believing that happiness equals having a 100% positive-only life. By actively avoiding things we feel negative about, and only chasing things which we thinks make us happy... actually causes more negativity in our lives. The key is to embrace both sides of the coin.
True happiness comes from doing things that give meaning, such as overcoming challenges. You can't achieve these by running away from negative experiences.
I've gotten lots of feedback about this topic since then, with numerous of questions about it.
"Ok, I get this new perspective, but now what can I actually do right now?"
You're right! It's really important to find areas that you can take action to start cultivating happiness in your life. And there are so many aspects of life that you can begin with.
I want to share a powerful article by Destiny Hacks founder Eugene Choi, who introduces in depth 13 different ways you can take action.

If this was helpful, I would love to hear your feedback. Any suggestions, comments, requests, or even sharing how these effect your everyday experiences are most welcome.
Cheers!
