NIGHTSHIFT SHAWL IN ITO
We're happy to report that Noro Ito is back in stock. If you've been coveting the colors we used in our version of the Nightshift Shawl, now's your chance! It feels good to see these gorgeous skeins back on the shelves!
Ito comes in a giant 200 gram/437 yard skein, and is an explosion of saturated, striping Noro color! This 100% single-ply wool feels great to knit and the slowly changing color repeats keep you wanting to knit just one more row! 

Nightshift is made using mosaic knitting. This consists of slipping stitches in pattern. Each section alternates between two motifs, and since Ito is a self-striping yarn, the color changing work is done for you!

We used one color as the background and one as the foreground all the way through the shawl. When choosing colors, we went with one bright and one more subtle shade in 2 different color families- reds and blues. That way you really see the contrast in the motifs. Choose two colors in the same color family for a more subtle version. 

We have seen many versions of these knit in Ito, and they all look fantastic!

Ito has so much yardage that you can make this shawl with just 2 skeins!

To make our Ito version of the Nightshift, you'll need:

Background: 1 skein of Ito - we used  Usuki
Foreground: 1 skein of Ito - we used Mitsuke
US 10 32-inch circular needle

Lola is a soft, fluffy yarn that knits up quickly at a chunky gauge. This multi-stranded yarn gives a textured, variegated look with a subtle sparkle from a strand of sequins!

2 skeins of Lola - we made ours in pale blue.
US10 16-inch circular needles
