To show off Madara's lively speckles, we worked up a Reversible Rib Cowl, an easy-to-knit accessory that's worked in the round using a soothingly meditative combo of knits and purls. Perfect for holiday gifting, this cowl will lend any outfit an effortless aesthetic, and it's ideal for wearing whenever you want a fun and cozy pop of color!

If you're craving soft, worsted weight yarn in vivid colors, Madara is the yarn for you! It comes in a palette of semi-solid base colors that feature fun pops of tweedy color. Your knitted Madara fabric will not have striping, just a subtle color shift, thanks to its confetti-like flecks. 

Fun fact: "madara" means "speckled" in Japanese!

To knit your own Reversible Rib Cowl, you'll need:

• 1 skein of Noro Madara
• US 8 16" circular needles

The 28 Sia sweater from Noro is a stunning, texture-rich design that encourages Madara's tweedy flecks to shine against a backdrop of simple staggering of knits and purls. This comfy, positive ease sweater is a drop shoulder configuration that's knit in pieces then seamed. 

To knit 28 Sia, you'll need:

• 5-7 skeins of Noro Madara, depending on your chosen size.
• US 6 + US 7 24" circular needles
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch markers
