LOOP PETAL + THE ONE SWEATER

The One Baby Sweater by Erika Flory is a sweet pop-over cardigan so named because it calls for just one skein, one button, and one needle! We made ours in one-derfully soft Loop Petal, our kitten soft, machine-washable, worsted weight, merino cashmere blend. 

Petal is dyed right here in Philadelphia in an expansive range of tonal solids that span from deep charcoals and earthy evergreens,  to moody plums and cheerful turquoises, to sunny yellows and happy corals and pinks.

And, most importantly, each pillowy skein is baby soft and practically begs to be worn next to the skin! We're talking seriously buttery here - 80% merino, 10% cashmere, and 10% nylon. That little bit of nylon gives Petal a superpower: it can be machine washed using the cold, gentle cycle!

Sized for babies 0-3 months*, the One Baby Sweater has simple, top-down yoke styling and cute button closure. 

To knit a One Baby Sweater, you'll need:

  • 1 skein of Loop Petal, we used the color Wheat
  • US 8 24" circular needle
