Today is an exciting day: new Brooklyn Tweed marls are on the shelf! Two brand new colors join the palette and all 5 marls are now available in Loft!
Amaranth and caraway are the two new colors! Amaranth is a combination of BT colors cinnabar + long johns while caraway is made with hayloft and truffle hunt. It's so fun to see this color infusion to the existing all-neutral marls!
Shelter marls quickly became some of my most favored Shelter colors, and now I am thrilled that they are all available in Loft. Lighter weight sweaters and accessories await! Oh, and if you've never knit with Loft Held double, you should! The fabric feels amazing!
Skipp is a new brioche hat designed by Jared Flood just for the new Loft marls. You have the choice of 1-color or 2-color brioche and it uses 2 skeins of Loft. The pattern is free with yarn purchase through April 30th!
To make the Skipp Hat, you'll need:
Single Color Brioche: 2 skeins of Loft Two Color Brioche: 1 skein each of 2 colors of Loft US2 16-inch circular needle US4 16-inch circular needle and double-pointed needles
We'll include a coupon code for your free Ravelry pattern download in your online order when you purchase 2 skeins of Loft!
LOFT MARL KNITS
Rivage is one of our favorite patterns for Loft colorplay! There are stripe combinations aplenty with Loft's 40+ colors. I would love to see a Rivage with caribou, narwhal with barn owl or pumice!
Breton + Hayward are two Loft classics that would look fantastic in any of the new marls. Knit Breton with a marl and a bold stripe and a Hayward in amaranth would be an amazing accent piece!
SHELTER MARL KNITS
Michele Wang's Eternity Scarf is an evergreen cowl project that comes in 3 lengths and uses either Shelter or Loft held double. This is a good pattern for gifting and trying out new yarns!
Ronan + Mossbank are both dying to be knit up in the new Shelter marls! These are both easy to wear shapes that will be welcome wardrobe additions for years to come!
Weekender shown in narwhal, caribou and newsprint.
We are also big fans of the Weekender around these parts and there's always room on the queue for another!
