| | Although May was our official Mental Health Awareness Month, it looks like this month is, unfortunately, no less taxing. Already we’ve seen more mass shootings and more tragedies unfolding in Ukraine, all while inflation concerns continue to linger. People are understandably stressed and burned out. And while there are no easy answers here (though a device like Cove, which applies “affective touch therapy” to the skin behind your ears, could help), in terms of the workplace, there are a number of steps managers can take to help employees feel a little less burned out. For starters, they can be mindful of employees’ workloads. That isn’t a panacea for our country’s mental health crisis, but it’s a start. —Max Ufberg, @Max_Uf | | | | | |
