Oh hello, Spring! Shibui has just released their brand new yarn Koan and it truly suits the season. Get ready to cast on stunning pieces for warm weather wear!

Koan is a unique linen and silk blend; strong and smooth. Linen holds the shape of your stitches, while silk adds a soft, subtle luster to your fabric. Knitting with Koan, you'll create pieces you'll wear for many summers to come.

Koan makes light, floaty garments on it's own and, of course, pairs perfectly with other Shibui Spring yarns!

The Shibui Spring Collection features Koan and Shibui's playful new colorway Paloma! That pop of pink is so cheering, isn't it?

Acacia is my personal favorite of the group; easy to knit and a simple, breezy wardrobe topper for summer. 3-5 skeins of Koan in color A, 2-3 skeins of Koan in color B.

Fleur is a textural marvel knit with Vine and Silk Cloud. Vine is an incredibly cool tape yarn and Silk Cloud is amazing under any circumstance. 3-6 skeins Silk Cloud, 5-9 skeins of Vine.

Rubia is the open-front cardigan of my dreams and looks fabulous worn over Calla a.k.a. The Perfect Summer Tank. Rubia: 6-10 skeins of Koan, Calla: 2-4 skeins of colors A + B.

Lantana is chic and sophisticated with a fun, asymmetrical twist. Knitting the combination of Koan + Lunar is not to be missed. 4-8 skeins of Koan, 2-3 skeins of Lunar.

L + R: Arabella + Truss
We've had many people knitting the Arabella sweater in Loft lately, so I thought I'd share! Its side detailing also reminded me of the Truss cardigan knit in Shelter. 

Both have plenty of stockinette, but each have something interesting yet simple happening. Each one definitely has wardrobe staple potential!

Arabella: 5-9 skeins of Loft
Truss: 7-11 skeins of Shelter
There is much more Brooklyn Tweed inspiration to be found in the newly released Wool People collection!

The Tallera Wrap shown here has definitely made its way into my queue! It uses 6 skeins of Loft for the body and 1 skein of Arbor for the stripe.

LOOP KNITS FROM HOME
As you can imagine, the Loop staff is home knitting ALL the things! We really miss our show & tells at the shop, so they have been sending me photos of all their WIPs, and we thought you'd like to see too!

WOOL + HONEY

Meredith is knitting away on her SECOND Wool + Honey Sweater, and when she's done she'll be giving it as a gift. 

Knit from the top down in Brooklyn Tweed Loft, all the action is in this fabulous yoke and the you settle in for some good Netflix knitting!

Meredith's pup S'Mores is really just wondering why that Fringe bag is in her spot! 

 
MADISON SCARF

Cindi is knitting the Madison scarf in Shibui Lunar and Silk Cloud- 2 skeins each. 

This is an excellent first lace project with a simple to memorize pattern that gives you lots of yarn-over practice.

The combination of Lunar + Silk Cloud is AMAZING! You will not take off this scarf once you've put it on.
 
THE THROWOVER

It is not uncommon for the Loop staff to have colorwork on their needles! Cindy knit a Throwover in basically a week! She is a power knitter!

She used Rios, which has turned out so well! I love the contrast of that butter yellow with the dark green.

Shelter would also be an excellent choice for this colorwork beauty!
