BERROCO QUINOA

Well, this summer has been WARM so far! We are craving cool, comfortable pieces to wear and knit and Berroco Quinoa is at the top of our list!

This cotton blend yarn is soft and light with a gorgeous, slubby texture that adds sophistication to your stockinette knits. The palette is subtle and wearable, with shades that blend beautifully into your wardrobe.

Quinoa is machine washable, making for easy care, and at $8/skein, it's an affordable way to try something new!

Here are some of our pattern picks for looking pulled together despite these rising temperatures!
Castaway by Elizabeth Smith

This is easily my favorite top this season. It layers over a tank top or dress for extra coverage and can add texture and interest under a jacket come fall.

Knit in the round in one piece with a three needle bind- off for the shoulders, the sleeves are picked up and knit top down.

Our version shown in the top photo is on display at Loop West- come see it in person!

To make Castaway, you'll need:
4-9 skeins of Quinoa
US6 32-inch circular needle and DPNS
Pattern
L: Charlottetown by Amy Christoffers
This long cardigan is a go-with-everything wardrobe necessity. It looks just as good over jean and tee as it does over a tank dress. 7-13 skeins of Quinoa.

R: Ellerslie by Amy Christoffers:
A classic raglan with a body skimming shape and flattering open v-neck. 5-9 skeins of Quinoa.
L: Davit by Amy Palmer:
This cross back tee is a an interesting construction that's fun to knit and adds flair to your summer wardrobe. 4-9 skeins of Quinoa.

R: Alee by Donna Yaino
Just a little ponchette to protect you from that chilly A.C.! 3-4 skeins of Quinoa.

CASAPINKA MYSTERY KAL

We've decided to jump in on the new Casapinka Mystery Knitalong: the Sharon Show! It's starts on August 7th and we'll be getting a new clue every week for 6 weeks.

All we know so far is that it's a rectangular shawl that uses 4 skeins of fingering weight yarn and that the pattern has been designed by Casapinka's cat Sharon- and Sharon has a LOT of attitude!

Meredith has put together some beautiful color combinations that we think you'll love!
