The Southwest Airlines Companion Pass lets you bring a designated travel companion for free on all your Southwest flights (excluding taxes and fees). This perk can be worth thousands of dollars in yearly savings for frequent Southwest flyers.

And now, there’s a shortcut to qualify.

With the current best-ever sign-up bonus on the Southwest Rapid Rewards Premier Business Credit Card, you can earn a Companion Pass good through the end of 2024 by meeting the spending requirements on this card this year.

If you apply for this card and spend $15,000 by the end of the year, you will earn at least 135,000 points, which, combined with the 10,000-bonus-points boost for cardholders, will grant you a Companion Pass for the rest of 2023 and all of 2024. Just make sure you reach the spending requirement and have all your points posted before the end of the year, ideally by October or November.
