UNITED'S 5,000-MILE AWARDS

This week, United launched dynamic pricing for saver awards, with domestic flights available for as little as 5,000 miles each way. Some digging revealed that, in many cases, you're not getting as good a deal as we first thought.

Naturally, there's some concern that dynamic pricing could go both ways, with some saver awards eventually going up in price. For now, though, MileagePlus redemptions just became more appealing for select US flights, giving members a bit more incentive to book.
