Though I often credit college as being the place where I grew into my sociopolitical consciousness, my first exposure to activism was centered around farm worker rights and Dolores Huerta while I was still in high school. Many years later, I see Dolores' talk as a beautiful intervention and reminder of the sacrifices that are made in the name of a bigger cause – and encourage anyone who might feel the slightest bit defeated to watch.
